The 8th Asia Logistics and Maritime Conference (ALMC), jointly organised by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council and the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, is the flagship event of Hong Kong Maritime Week and the largest gathering of its kind in Asia. This year’s conference is focusing on three key areas - Strengthening connectivity within Asia by capitalizing on such developments as Belt and Road and the Free Trade Agreement (FTA) between Hong Kong and the Hong Kong-Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), the new retail revolution and logistics, and logistics technology.

The two-day event features some 70 high-profile speakers, including Mr. Kelvin Ko, the Vice President and Head of Logistics Technology from BPS Global Group. In the Supply-chain Management & Logistics Forum on 21st of November, Mr. Kelvin Ko shared the topic on “how logistics related technologies boost productivity in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay area”. It aims to explore how these logistics related technologies and services can help boost the productivity in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay area.

The audiences raised out the questions to the speakers in the Q&A session. One of the question is about how to engage the young people to step in the logistics industry. Mr. Kelvin Ko also encouraged everyone to pass the positive messages to young people. The logistics industry is no longer the same as in the past, we hope to attract more talents to join the logistics industry.
