Project Overview:

BPS Global Group was commissioned by the Education Bureau to renovate and improve the campus support and facilities for the Lutheran Church of Christ Lutheran Secondary School, including:

- Demolition of the existing reinforced concrete staircase

- Construction of a 7-storey reinforced concrete lift tower

- Piled foundations together with strengthening works to existing retaining walls

- Lift installation (by a nominated sub-contractor),

- Associated builder’s works and building services installations

- All necessary alterations, modification and improvement to existing buildings and subsequent reinstatement.

The project will last 24 months and is expected to be completed in the fourth quarter of 2024.

Project Challenges:

To avoid disruption to campus activities, BPS will liaise closely with Lutheran Secondary School to minimize disruption to the campus and to complete the work in an orderly manner.

It is expected that Hong Kong will still be affected by the epidemic during the construction period, which will cause unpredictable uncertainties such as delays in the transportation of materials, infected workers, and the purchase of additional site supplies to prevent epidemics. In order to minimize the impact of these situations on the project and to respond quickly, the BPS project team will strictly monitor and control material delivery schedules and transportation plans, as well as plan in advance for manpower and backup plans.
