BPS Global Assisted HACTL to Award the Highest Rating of “BEAM Plus Interiors: Platinum”

BPS Global completed a design and build project for the Hong Kong Air Cargo Terminals Limited (Hactl) on a three-storey (Level 4 to 6) at North Office block of total around 50,000 sq. ft. We are excited to support client in achieving the highest rating of “BEAM Plus Interiors: Platinum”, which is certificated by Hong Kong Green Building Council.

 

BEAM Plus Interiors is the Hong Kong’s leading initiative to offer independent assessments of building sustainability performance. Recognized and certified by the HKGBC, BEAM Plus offers a comprehensive set of performance criteria for a wide range of sustainability issues relating to the planning, design, construction, commissioning, fitting out, management, operation and maintenance of a building. The assessment aspects are including Energy Use, Water Use, Materials and Waste Aspects, Health and Wellbeing, Indoor / Outdoor Environmental Quality, Innovations and Additions etc.

 

For energy saving, we installed the mobile sensors for Hactl office, the lighting and air-conditioning temperature will be adjusted depending on the environment and usage conditions automatically. For the material, we used the sustainable and durable materials on false ceiling, wall boards and carpet which can be recycled. In addition, the CO2 sensors were installed to provide constant measurement and monitor on carbon dioxide, temperature and humidity. Active ventilation systems bring in cleaner and fresher indoor air, benefit everyone in a comfortable office environment.

 

We are pleased to assist client in obtaining BEAM Plus Interiors Certificate to support the green architecture community in Hong Kong. BPS Global team worked with the consultants of BEAM Plus to ensure that the design for materials and the indoor environment meet the standards of BEAM Plus Interiors.
