Provision of Additional Courtrooms and Associated Facilities in the High Court Building Groundbreaking and Signing Ceremony

9 September 2021 marked as the special date for BPS Global, a contract signing and groundbreaking ceremony was held at the Architectural Services Department in Admiralty. We are proud to be the designated contractor to provide the additional courtrooms and associated facilities on LG4/F in The High Court Building.

The scope of work to be executed comprises the conversion and refurbishment of the existing High Court Library and the open atrium outside the High Court Library (which is now an uncovered planter area) on LG4/F of High Court Building into additional courtrooms, a new entrance hall, and associated facilities.

The project scope consists of demolition and alteration works of existing structure and building services installation including replacement of façade, provision of additional courtrooms on entrance hall, a court lobby, consultation rooms, staff offices, equipment rooms and other ancillary facilities on LG4/F. It also covers provision of new plant rooms on LG5/F for housing new building services equipment. Structural strengthening works and plumbing, soil & surface water drainage and connection works are also required.

The whole project is expected to be completed by 2024. As the whole A&A works will be carried out during normal High Court operation, extra care has to be paid for project and site management e.g. noise control, dust control, material delivery, etc. The award of this contract is another acknowledgement of BPS Global’s capability and experience in government public works.
