Overview
Recently, BPS Global Group is honored to have been awarded a contract from a leading pharmaceutical outsourcing service company. The contract includes providing design & build as well as project management services to a new Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) distribution center.
BPS will be responsible in setting up a GMP facility with pharmaceutical storage areas, cold room, automated warehouse system, special ventilation and building management system. The construction has been commenced in Q1 of 2017, and is expected to be completed in Q4 of 2017.
GMP refers to the Good Manufacturing Practice Regulations promulgated by the US Food and Drug Administration under the authority of the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act. GMP certified facilities has to follow strict requirements which ensures a quality approach to manufacturing and packaging, enabling companies to minimize or eliminate instances of contamination, mix-ups, and errors. The regulation will also ensure highest quality in the storage of pharmaceuticals, which is extremely sensitive to temperature and humidity. As the construction manager and project manager of the project, our layouts and design proposed to clients were critiqued for adherence to the WHO and DOH guidelines. Drawing from our rich consulting and construction experience, our experts have started with understanding the full scope of the project, map out a step-by-step plan and establish a sound strategy and approach to meet the final validation of Department of Health (DOH). Our professional team has been working closely with the client and providing our best effort to push the facility over the commissioning requirements of the DOH.
